1. Overview & Scope

SocialHz ("we," "our," or "us") provides a social listening, analytics, and signals intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose information when you access or use our website, web application, APIs, and associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using SocialHz, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, profile avatar, and optional profile metadata (e.g., job title, phone number, location, bio).
  • Authentication Data: When logging in via third-party OAuth providers (Google, GitHub), we receive authentication tokens, your verified email address, and unique user identifiers.
  • Usage & Telemetry: We collect aggregated logs regarding search queries, filter settings, saved searches, alert preferences, and feature engagement to improve system reliability.
  • Payment & Billing Data: Payment processing is handled directly by Razorpay. SocialHz does not store full credit card numbers or banking credentials. We receive subscription status, customer IDs, and transaction timestamps.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and deliver our social discovery and listening features.
  • To authenticate user sessions, prevent fraudulent signups, and enforce account security.
  • To notify you about keyword triggers, saved search alerts, and transactional account updates.
  • To process subscription billing and enforce monthly token/credit allowances.
  • To provide responsive customer support and troubleshoot technical issues.

4. Reddit & Public Social Signals Data

SocialHz aggregates publicly available data from Reddit via authorized API endpoints and public indexing channels in compliance with platform terms of service.

We do not harvest private messages, deleted submissions, or non-public personal information. All indexed social posts, comments, and subreddits reflect publicly visible contributions.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We disclose data solely in the following controlled scenarios:

  • Trusted Service Providers: Cloud hosting providers (e.g., AWS, Supabase, Vercel), payment processors (Razorpay), and transactional email delivery providers who adhere to strict data processing agreements.
